TRIP OVERVIEW

Bethanchowk is believed to be the highest hill of the Mahabharat range that lies in the southern hill of Kavrepalanchowk with an altitude of 3000m. The hill is also considered the King of Hills. Districts like Makwanpur and Janakpur can be seen from the top of Bethanchowk hill. The name of Bethanchowk Narayanthan is kept under the name of a small temple called Narayanthan which the devotees mostly visit during the time of Fagu Purnima. The hill of Bethanchowk provides the best view of Himalayan ranges Dhaulagiri on the west and Makalu on the east including Mt. Everest with a close view of Manaslu Himal, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Range, Dorje Lakpa.

The hill is more famous for hiking and camping activities since it is near the Kathmandu valley and rich in breathtaking views. The Bethanchowk Narayanthan Hike takes you into nature, close to Kathmandu but still remote. The greatest of Bethanchowk hikes is the untouched trail, variety of flora and wildlife, isolated terrains, and breathtaking mountain ranges. Narayanthan is a lovely blend of religion, adventure, and natural beauty. The remote alpine terrains and sparse human traces at the summit are impressive. Hiking up to the Narayanthan temple from the Kavrepalanchowk district's Dhungkharka is a beautiful escape and an amazing hiking experience in and of itself.
