In the Northwest part of Nepal there lies the largest and the most famous lake, Rara lake. It is situated in the Mugu district of the Karnali zone with an altitude of 2990m covering an area of 10.8 km. It is also locally known as Mahendra Taal or Queen of lakes. The lake is surrounded by green hills and is also home to more than 500 species of flowers, 20 species of mammals, and 214 species of birds.
The snow-capped Himalayas featuring Dhaulagiri, Dolpo, Kanjirowa, and the Tibetan Himalayas is starkly different from that of the rest of Nepal, and for those looking for an “off the beaten path” trek that allows for a unique and authentic Nepal trekking experience, Rara Lake Trek might be the right fit for you.
One can enjoy boating in clear water, and hiking to nearby hills with breathtaking views of beautiful hills and mountains. Situated at a high altitude, you can find the lake surrounded by Rara National Park with pine, spruce, and juniper forest. For those who want to go on a trek, it begins with a flight to Jumla (over an hour flight from Kathmandu) or from the nearest Nepalgunj. Going along the mountain path and some villages one can reach the bank of Rara. Or Rara lake can also be traveled via Jeep.
But for those who lack the availability time and can’t go for long treks then they can go for the Helicopter tour. Heli tours are mainly designed for those who like experiencing the ariel view and at the same time for those who are not physically fit to go on treks and those with lack time. The Heli Tour can be completed within a day so why not save time and experience the best view without any hard work. Within a few moments on a Heli flight, we will reach Rara lake and get to experience the best view of Rara from close.

The pilot-in-command has the full authority to decide on the passenger weight, flight route, and ground time in each sector due to flight safety reasons.
Itinerary
In the morning, take a flight from Kathmandu to a domestic airport helipad and soar over the Himalayas and many mountain valleys. Arrival at Rara Lake and landing there. On the specified date, check into the hotel. take a walk around Rara Lake for lunch, then enjoy supper with a local culture program and spend the night at the hotel.
We will wake up early in the morning, and go for the sightseeing of Rara lake. We will watch the early morning sunrise and have breakfast and return to Kathmandu by helicopter.
After having breakfast we will transfer you to International Airport for final departure

We are unlikely to have altitude sickness due to the short duration of our trip. Because the area is at a low height, the risk is reduced. However, in the case of emergency, our crew will provide first-aid and, if necessary, transport you to a lower altitude or Kathmandu.

Yes, the flights can get delayed or cancelled due to the bad weather or frequent rainfall. In case of cancellation, you will get your refund according to the refund policy.
